This ASI Addition enhances the Sales Order module to allow the sales manager or other administrator to automatically remind those that are taking orders about specials, clearance items, or questions that need to be asked during the order entry process. The administrator uses the Popup Sales Reminder Maintenance on the Sales Order Setup menu to enter any number of Reminder Codes. Each code has a begin date and an end date, along with the text that is to pop up during order entry. When the salesperson is entering a new sales order, the first time he or she gets to the lines panel, any reminders that have a date range that encompasses today’s date will pop up, one at a time. The user cannot just hit the Enter key accidentally to go on, but must click on “OK” or press a couple of keys to continue. If there is more than one reminder for that day, then each reminder will pop up one at a time.
